Slate

Slate is a natural product and final colors will vary from what you see here to give you a unique slate product. The slate used is hard enough for use as floor tiles. Slate formed about 300 million to 500 million years ago during the Palaeozoic Era, just before dinosaurs of the Mesozoic Era. During this era in Earth's evolution, diversified plants were forming in the swampy forests of the Northern Hemisphere. Coal was formed from the rotting plants. Reptiles came to being during the lattter part of this period.

The slate used for Golf Slate Coasters is quarried in the United States. This slate prodcut is carefully hand cut, sand etched, and painted with durable enamels for outdoor use.

The Manufacturer

This US manufacturer has been around since 1989 creating fine slate products. The team does their own graphic design work and continues to refine their slate product line. They will be around for many years to come.
